Resurrection

April 24th, 2009

I originally established this site so that I could post comment, tips and general musings, principally as I worked on my own technology projects. From the off I was never a very prolific author and my last post to the previous incarnation of this site was some 3 years ago. Maintaining Mancave in its previous guise was incurring a cost due to the hosting costs of running a Java-based blogging solution. To avoid completely mothballing Mancave I have resurrected it in WordPress (PHP hosting for me is free). I don’t pretend that my output will be more frequent (it could hardly get any less), not least because I don’t have the time I once had to dedicate to personal technology projects that generated most posts yet I don’t want to loose the platform that this site afforded.

One post on the speed issues of the Buffalo Linkstation family of network storage drives generated the majority of traffic and I will endeavour to re-post the content of this post and plethora of useful comments that it attracted once I’ve worked out how to import from the previous blog format into Wordpress. Watch this space (even if it does take me a short while!).
