Memory Maps

OK, I know it's not really anything to do with projects in the ManCave but I connected my Garmin eTrex up to my recently purchased copy of Memory Map and just had to blog the results.

I cycled the route show on the images below for a bit of exercise a couple of weeks ago, entering Richmond Park at the Queen's Gate (bottom of pictures) for a quick circuit.

I just love the way that the perspective view shows Richmond Hill up near the Star and Garter (OK I've exagerated the vertical perspective slightly) and the bend in the Thames just west of this point. I'm now going to have to cycle some series hills just to get some good route views - easier said than done on my side of London, however the Peaks or the Lakes are an idea.
